I have been spending a lot of time out in my yard lately and thought I’d share some photos I took the other day.
I planted a few flowers around the house and just love the way they look.
I’m loving my buddha yard ornament, as well as my Tibetan Prayer flags that I hung.
I also planted a Japanese Pine Tree in the front yard that is so pretty.
This weekend I plan on planting my garden, I’m so excited and I’ll be sure to post pictures once everything starts growing!
This little girl was abandoned and needs a good home. She’s in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Please contact me if you are interested or know someone that is :)
I recently came across this organization that creates products to help fund different charities. Sevenly, the name of the organization, has one ultimate goal… to help people.
Sevenly makes lifestyle products that help fund charity projects in 7 areas of need across the globe. Each week (or every 7 days) is a different product, and $7 from each item goes directly to that week’s charity.
This week the charity provides sexually exploited girls with education, support and employment opportunities. The design of the shirts this week is super cute too. Get a tank top or flowy boho top with a dreamcatcher print on the front.
I’m so excited about this company and look forward to supporting them in the future!

It’s official, I have finally switched from regular milk to almond milk. I read an article on the dairy industry that was really disturbing and it got me thinking. Why drink regular milk and support that industry when there are alternatives out there that are just as good, if not better? I tried the regular Silk Almond Milk and was blown away! I’m only wishing it didn’t take me this long to discover it! If you’re having your doubts about regular soy milk I highly recommend the almond milk.

A road through the mountains is the only road I want to travel.

This morning when I went out to check the mail I was so excited to find my Roots & Feathers package sitting in the mailbox. This was the first time I had ordered anything from Roots & Feathers, it was like Christmas getting this particular package. Shop owner, Laura Mazurek, went the extra mile when packaging up my lovely new earrings. From the adorable butterfly and feather stamped on the outside to the personalized thank you note inside, the detail involved was a pleasant surprise. Usually when you order something you just get the invoice and the item is stuffed in a plastic bag, but Roots & Feathers changes it up and adds delightful details that will turn you into a loyal customer.
I can’t wait to sport my new earrings today. Thanks so much Roots & Feathers! I’ll be shopping again very soon :)

Music is everything to me. No matter where I go or what I do, I always have music playing… I even get to hear live music every day from my talented, guitar-playing boyfriend. Music can lift your spirits and change your mood from sad to glad within seconds. My latest obsession is the Heartless Bastards. Their new album, Arrow, has me spinning. The Austin, Texas based-band’s sound is unique, beautiful and has the strongest female voice I think I’ve ever heard. Every song on the album pulls at my heart but I’m inspired the most by “Marathon” and “Low Low Low.” Instead of getting your $6 latte’ today why don’t you grab the album at your local record store or get it on iTunes, I promise you won’t regret it!
Sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in every day routines. I have been itching to travel lately and looked back on some old photos today. With my trip to Mexico not until December and my New Orleans trip still “pending,” I was a little down. But as I looked back on a few of my adventures I realized that I have had a pretty great life so far. All the traveling I have done, all the things I’ve seen, all the places I have lived… I’m very fortunate thus far. So as I was sitting in my misery dreaming of the road I simply realized that I have to make time to travel and that all the adventures I have had in my past have made me who I am today. Simply put, make time to travel, no matter what.
Coachella is awesome. There’s really no other way to put it. It’s in a beautiful location in Indio, California and the lineup never disappoints. The fashion, the music, the fun of being with so many unique people all there for the same reasons, it’s all pretty amazing. What’s also so great is the festival’s commitment to maintaining a clean atmosphere and contributing to keep the Coachella Valley beautiful. Coachella encourages festival goers to recycle and this year the recycling bins provided are decked out and eye catching. The “10 for 1” program is an effort the festival started to get everyone to do their part. Simply pick up 10 bottles or cans laying on the ground and trade them in for a free cold bottle of water!
I love Coachella and although I’m not there this year, I am already making plans to attend next year :)
